Janet Todd and David Huerta Training Shot on Pentax 6x7 / by Jeff Dojillo

Recently, I purchased a beat up pentax 6x7 with a mirror lock up body. It came with a 105mm 2.4 lens. I had to replace my hasselblad that isnt working at the moment. I wanted something that shot the largest negative i can hand hold with out going into large format photography.

I shot Fuji Pro 400 and Kodak tri-x both pushed to 1600 and I love the results. There is beautiful depth and the black and white has a contrast the is organic to the film emulsion. Film still has a feeling that in my opinion is hard to replicate.

The only draw back I have about this camera is the flash sync speed. it is extremely slow, so using strobes will have to used under controled conditions.
